Mr. Carlos - Group Supervisor
Carlos Ortiz has his Master's Degree in Psychology specializing in Childhood and adolescent development. In addition, he has a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Mr. Carlos graduated from Penn State University. He has been changing the lives of children for eight years now. Mr. Carlos has all the natural ablity of a good childcare provider. One of his many greaty qualities is his energy and his great physical stamina; he is always alert. His passion and admiration for helping youth discover their hidden potential goes above and beyond any employee we had in our eight years in business. In addition, he makes all the children around him smile. His dedication, determination, and willingness to succeed help shaped our ministry to the Stars IV program that we are today. Mr. Carlos runs a football camp that teaches children football and how to be honorable Christian young men.
He won CCA MVP in the summer of 2021.
Mrs. Latifah -Group Supervisor
Latifah Powell has her bachelor's degree in human development and families studies. She graduated from Penn State University. Mrs. Latifah has been changing the lives of children for eight years. To explain, her radiance and positive nature always sparked wonders for our ministry. Mrs. Latifah's ability to create positive relationships enhances her classroom to a family environment. She is determined to make her classroom the best possible: therefore, her children appreciate all her efforts. She specializes in teaching our older school-age life skills that can help them succeed in the future. Mrs, Latifah runs a FLY Girls program, which teaches young women to love themselves in the Lord fully.
Mrs. Khia- Assitant Director/Owner
Mrs. Khia Kenney has her bachelor's degree in psychology. She graduated from Penn State University. Mrs. Latifah has been changing the lives of children for 18 years. Before opening up Christ Cornerstone Academy, she operated a successful program called Turner Academic Academy; unfortunately, that program had to close because of water damager, but then she was determined to open a facility dedicated to teaching children the word of God. Christ Cornerstone Academy now operates as a four-star facility.
Mrs. Khia has a genuine and natural affinity for children's needs. She has a genuinely empathetic nature. Her ability to feel comfortable and confident working with children helps all her employees lead by her example. Mrs. Khia loving and caring spirit always fill up the room, and the children love her presence.
Mr. Dk- Director/ Owner
Mr. Don Kenney Jr. has his associates degree in early childhood. He graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College. In addition, he served in the Air Force for four years and is a honorable venteran. Mr. DK has been changing the lives of children for 18 years. Mr. DK owns and manages our four-star facility and holds all primary responsibility of running a center. Mr. Dk has many skills and experiences that help him lead a team of advanced life changers. His strong communication skills are some of the essential characteristics that stand apart from everybody else. Mr. DK alwaystakes proactive measures to teach, protect, and care for young children and train all staff to our venue. He prides himself on having the lowest turnout rate in the history of childcare. Mr, Dk's willingness to lead by example and do all necessary tasks, as well as enforce any rules, goes above and beyond any other director. He runs and helps all programs that go on at his facility with a smile and respectable manner.
Mrs. Autum- Support Staff/ Floor Manager
Mrs. Autumn has been working with children for six years now. She is very professional and understands all the needs of children. Her attitude and alertness to detail make her a great team player with her co-workers. Like her mother, Mrs. Khia Kenney, she understands that all children have hidden potential, which must be discovered through proper nurturing and guidance. Her positive spirit makes all children want to be in her presence. She is everything a person would wish to in working with children.
Mr. Alphoso- Support Staff
Mr. Alphonso been working with children for one year now and enjoys every minute of it. He has a passionate childlike nature to him that makes the children graviate towards him. He will support all classroom with a smile and always will help where is needed. He won the best attidude award in the summer of 2021.
